Kubo Life Coaching

Life Coach & Pastoral Supervisor — Sydney

Life is full of transitions. They are moments when we pause, reflect, and ask, “What is the next step?”

Jody Kubo is a Sydney-based life coach and pastoral supervisor with over 35 years of experience helping people build effective teams, develop leaders, and navigate meaningful change.

Inspired by Japanese values of calm, reflection, and wholehearted care, his coaching helps people discover their natural motivations, recognise their strengths, and move forward with greater clarity and purpose.

Jody specialises in life transitions, leadership development, and pastoral supervision. He works with individuals, leaders, and ministry practitioners in Sydney, across Australia, and online globally.

These values shape every Life Coaching and Pastoral Supervision session.

The Midnight Diner Philosophy

Credentials are only part of what makes a coaching relationship meaningful. Not every coaching relationship feels the same.

When I started Kubo Life Coaching, all the “experts” told me I needed a website, regular social media posts, videos, a YouTube channel, a marketing funnel, along with typical self-help buzz-word phrasing. I saw the value in trying their way as a learning experiment; and I did learn a lot.

But the biggest lesson was something I knew from the start: this social-media-influencer approach is just not who I am.

So what is my style?

Not a marketing funnel, but something more like a small diner.

That same thoughtful approach shapes Flow Patterns, a story-based coaching process that begins with your story rather than a questionnaire.
